General Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the website www.chiq.lk (“Website”) and your purchase of goods or services from CHiQ / Energywise (Pvt) Ltd (“we”, “us”, “our”). By using the Website or placing an order, you agree to these Terms.

2. Goods / Services Offered

We supply air conditioners (inverter and non-inverter models), related spare parts, installation, maintenance and service for CHiQ AC units. Our products are electrical goods; voltage requirements must be adhered to as per Sri Lankan standard (230V, 50Hz) unless otherwise stated. Compatibility with local electrical standards is the buyer’s responsibility if using in other jurisdictions.

3. Orders, Pricing & Payment

All prices are in Sri Lankan Rupee (LKR) unless otherwise specified.
Prices shown include VAT or other taxes as required by law (if applicable). Any additional taxes or fees will be stated.
Payment must be made by one of the methods we accept (credit/debit card, bank transfer, etc.). Payment details are collected securely.

4. Installation

Installation will be done free of charge up to 5m piping per unit.
Piping Kit will be provided.
Required electrical wiring and other location modification cost should be beared by the customer.

5. Warranty Terms

With Installation

Non Inverter – One (01) Year and Five (05) years on Compressor
Inverter – One (01) Year and Ten (10) years on Compressor

Supply Only

Non Inverter / Inverter – One (01) Year and Five (05) years on Compressor

6. Delivery & Shipping

Purchases are based in Sri Lanka. We deliver within Sri Lanka to the address you provide.
Delivery charges (if any), estimated delivery time and terms will be specified at checkout.
We do not guarantee delivery to addresses outside Sri Lanka (unless explicitly agreed). If international shipment is requested, buyer is responsible for any import/export regulations, custom duties, taxes in their country.

7. Installation & Service

For AC units, installation service is available; charges and conditions will be communicated. Buyer must ensure installation environment meets safety and electrical standards.
Maintenance and servicing are subject to service terms and warranty (if applicable).

8. Returns, Refunds & Cancellations

If a product is faulty or does not match specifications, you may return it within a specified period (for example, within 7 days of delivery), subject to proof.
If you simply change your mind, returns may be accepted at our discretion and subject to restocking/handling fees.
No refund or cancellation will be allowed after the product is installed (if applicable) or after use has commenced, unless the goods are defective.
Any refunds will be made via the original payment method after inspection of the returned item.
Shipping/installation charges are generally non-refundable (unless the fault is ours).

9. Warranty

Products are subject to manufacturer warranty (as per CHiQ/Changhong) for a specified period (e.g. 1 year parts and service), details provided with each product.
Warranty does not cover damage from misuse, improper installation, external causes (lightning, water damage, etc.), modifications, or failure to follow instructions.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, loss of data, or interruption of business.
Our liability for direct damages shall be limited to the purchase price of the goods or services you purchased.

11. Transaction Security

Transactions are processed using secure encrypted channels (e.g. SSL / TLS) to protect payment and personal data.
Our payment gateways comply with recognized security standards.
Sensitive payment details are not stored by us longer than required for processing and legal/accounting records.

12. Intellectual Property

All content on the Website (text, graphics, logos, images, product descriptions) is owned by or licensed to us. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify or use such material without our prior written permission, except as necessary for placing orders.

13. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms & your purchase / contract with us are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka.
Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts of Sri Lanka.

14. Prior to Payment Disclosure

Immediately before you complete any payment instructions (checkout), you will be clearly shown:

The total price including all taxes, delivery, installation (if applicable) and any other charges.
Our full business information including domicile (Sri Lanka), contact details.
Payment methods available and any conditions pertaining.

15. Receipts / Transaction Records

Upon completion of your purchase, you will receive a transaction receipt which will include at least:

Our full corporate information (business name, address, contact).
Invoice number or transaction id.
Date of purchase.
Description of goods and/or services, quantity, unit price, total price.
Any applicable taxes.
Payment method.

16. Changes to Terms & Conditions

We may revise these Terms from time to time. When we do, the updated version will be posted on this site together with the date of update. Your continued use of the Website and/or placing orders indicates your acceptance of the updated Terms.
